5 things vegan Americans can be thankful for this year
Happy Thanksgiving!
On this celebratory day, vegans have a lot to be thankful for this year. Here are 5 amazing things we are so happy and grateful for!
1. New animal rights laws.
Voters made history this month by passing California’s Prop 12, the nation’s most progressive legislation in favor of farm animals to date.
They also voted to ban commercial greyhound racing in Florida.
While there’s still loads to go, things are moving along for animals in this country and we’re thankful!
2. Delicious new vegan goodies.
Just in time for the holidays, Whole Foods has come out with a range of seasonal dairy-free ice cream. Its three flavors, salted pecan bourbon, Irish whiskey salted caramel, and cherry bourbon, are sure to make your taste buds sing!
3. Vegans are taking over America!
Nearly 6 in 10 consumers in the US are cutting down on meat, a recent survey suggests.
The numbers are even higher in millennials. Up to 80 percent consume vegan meats on a regular basis!
How amazing is that?
4. Vegan beauty is in.
