The hardest part about being a Girl Scout cookie-lover is waiting until cookie-selling season. But good news for Thin Mint fans! The Girl Scouts of the USA and Biena Snacks recently partnered up to develop a Girl Scout Cookie-inspired treat that will be available year-round! Inspired by the iconic Thin Mint, the new snack is the same cookie flavor, but in chickpea-snack form (which tastes just as good frozen as regular thin mints do)!
More good news: they are a healthy Thin-Mint alternative. Biena considers itself a home for healthy snacks with no artificial ingredients or flavors, and this new addition to the family will be no different. The Thin Mints Chickpea Snacks will be made from only six ingredients – and they are gluten-free too!
The brand already offers delicious flavors like Sea Salt, Honey Roasted, Barbecue, and Habanero, and will be launching new Dark Chocolate and Salted Caramel flavors along side the new Girl Scout-inspired treat.
Biena’s chickpea version will be available year-round at all Whole Foods Markets nationwide, starting in June. They will also be available in other retailers starting in September. Further product information and product availability can be found on Biena’s website.
The snacks will be sold in 3.15-ounce packs for $4.49 with 130 calories and four grams of protein and fiber per serving.
If the snack is tasty enough for the Girl Scout stamp of approval, I think it is safe to assume they will be nothing less than addicting!
