Plastic pollution is EVERYWHERE.   And with production continuously increasing to meet the growing demand, it seems as though there is no end in sight. That is, until our friends at So Delicious came up with an amazing way to help!

One of the main problems with plastic is that it is not biodegradable. Instead of breaking down and disappearing, it enters our oceans and is strewn across our earth, continuously breaking up into smaller pieces, which can then be ingested by land animals and sea life. Plastics’ inability to break down releases tons of harmful chemicals into our environment and food chain.

So Delicious has made a move to solve this major issue by launching their first ever plant-based bottles, which will house their organic almond milk!  The bottles are made from renewable sugar cane, and reduce their dependence on fossil fuels to manufacture them. (This will reduce their carbon footprint, which is something all companies should hop on board with.) One major perk of using sugarcane is that it is a fast growing and renewable resource! This bottle is more than 80% biobased and can easily be recycled. Not only is the bottle impressive and progressive, but the product it carries is also amazing.

This new organic almond milk is indeed “simple and delicious”, just as they say on their website. It’s made with 7 ingredients or less, and free of GMOs, artificial flavors, sweeteners, and preservatives.  If that wasn’t good enough, it’s also soy-free, vegan, carrageenan-free and USDA certified.  Not only did So Delicious release a line-up of wholesome deliciousness, but it just made a MAJOR stride in helping to solve the planet’s plastic crisis!
