  • Falling asleep is a major concern for new meditators, but sitting upright and setting an alarm can help you stay awake. After a few meditation sessions, falling asleep probably won’t be as big of an issue.
  • Impatience is normal – and it will pass. Observe your emotions, allow yourself to feel them, and then let go.
  • Have no idea what you’re doing? Download a meditation app like Headspace or Calm to guide you through.
