The Beyond Burger is a vegan-friendly (no cheese) alternative. It is made from these four key ingredients:
- Water
- Pea protein
- Canola oil
- Refined coconut oil
Impossible Burger
The Impossible Burger, as its name suggests, it tastes so similar to beef, youāll barely be able to believe itās not. It is made from
- Coconut fat flakes
- Ground textured wheat
- Potato protein
Seitan
Seitan is the faux meat industryās latest trend. This substitute is made from:
- Hydrated gluten (the main protein in wheat)
2019 is the year of the vegan
2019 is the year of the vegan. According to The Economist, a quarter of 25 – 34-year-old Americans are vegan, and that number is projected to keep rising.Ā
By 2025, it is estimated that the plant-based meat market will reach $27.9 billion U.S. dollars. Beyond Meat stock prices are also on the rise, and some pretty popular restaurants are joining in on this global movement.Ā
