Our stay at home survival kit: 28 ways to treat yourself during quarantine
1. Tula’s “Masks for Masks” Kit
Want to do a good deed while you treat yourself? Tula is making it happen! Tula’s Star Bright Hydrogel Masks are on sale for 50% off and 100% of proceeds go directly to getting more medical masks to NYC’s COVID-19 frontline healthcare workers. How cool is that?

The masks are also completely cruelty-free and you won’t have to worry about any parabens or phthalates getting on your face. Tula wants nothing to do with those!
2. Lush Bath & Shower Bombs
Give yourself the gift of an at-home spa day with a Lush bath bomb or shower bomb. Our favorite is Intergalactic — it’s made with vegan ingredients and will make you feel like you’re floating inside a rainbow.

Pro tip: add cinnamon on top of the sugar cookies to make snickerdoodles (it’s heavenly).
5. Prosperity Soy Candles
We love Prosperity Candles for so many reasons — they’re handmade with essential oils (instead of chemical fragrances) and the company is devoted to creating opportunities for women to thrive. And right now they’re donating 25% of all sales to Feeding America to support essential food services for communities in need during COVID-19 (🙌).

The candles also make for great Mother’s Day gifts — we love the She Inspires candle collection.
6. Ojai Energetics Full Spectrum Hemp Elixir
Want more zen energy in your life? Who doesn’t, right!? We’re obsessed with Ojai Energetics Full Spectrum Hemp Elixir. It’s made without any synthetics, and instead contains powerful superfoods like moringa, hemp seed oil, and acerola cherry. We love it because it relaxes our muscles, helps us sleep, and just makes us feel an overall sense of chilled out zen-ness.

9. Start Where You Are: A Journal for Self-Exploration
This interactive journal by Meera Lee Patel is full of supportive prompts, inspiring quotes, and cute illustrations. We’re finding it especially useful as we’re staying at home because it gives us a space to clear our heads and let our imaginations take shape.
And there’s something extremely therapeutic about completing all the little activities and reading through the colorful pages.
10. Turmeric Extract
As we find ourselves being inside a lot, we’re leaning on supplements even more than usual. One of our essentials is PuraThrive’s Turmeric Extract. Turmeric is known for providing so many benefits like fighting inflammation, helping protect brain cells, and promoting radiant skin.

We like turmeric extract in a small glass of water, smoothie blends, or recipes like this turmeric chia pudding.
11. Vitamin C
There’s been a lot of talk about vitamin C recently. And it’s for good reason! Vitamin C helps us fight diseases and prevent infections by boosting our immune systems. Plus, it’s a powerful antioxidant that’s also known for strengthening our bones, cells, and blood vessels.
View this post on InstagramA post shared by PuraTHRIVE (@purathrive) on
Our favorite vitamin C supplement is from PuraThrive. It’s non-GMO, gluten-free, and dairy-free + it’s not made with any artificial colors or flavors whatsoever. And it has a slightly sweet and vanilla taste, which is a huge bonus.
12. Natural Jojoba Oil
We’re nuts for Jojoba Oil. It’s high in vitamins and packed with antioxidants and minerals like copper, chromium, and zinc.
So whether you’re dealing with dry skin and hair, or you’re looking to use a natural, cruelty-free moisturizer – jojoba oil has A TON of benefits.

14. Slow Home Podcast
The Slow Home podcast couldn’t be more relevant right now. The podcast puts an emphasis on slowing down, simplifying life, and saying no. And just the sound of Brooke’s McClary’s voice gives us a sense of serenity.
15. People for the Planet Tee
If we may say so ourselves, our People for the Planet tee is super comfy AND super cute. Pair it with your favorite yoga pants and you’re WFH uniform is set!
It’s also ethically-made and hand screen printed with love in Brooklyn. 💛
16. Organic Basics Bras & Undies
Comfort is KEY when it comes to bras and underwear, always and especially during quarantine. We’re in love with everything Organic Basics creates. The materials are high-quality, long-lasting, and responsibly sourced.

And they’ve set up The Organic Basics Fund, which goes towards supporting grassroots activists and organizations that address the environmental crisis, which makes us feel even better about our purchases.
17. Being Kind Is Cool Crew
Somehow whenever we wear our Being Kind Is Cool Crew, we have better days. It’s comfy, ethically-made, and spreads the love wherever we go — even if that’s just our kitchen sinks!
One of our other favorite feel-good sweatshirts is our There’s Power In Kindness Crew.
18. Pela Phone Case
Since it’s hard to get a change of scenery right now, we’re trying to switch up other areas of our lives like our phone cases. Take advantage of Pela’s “wear one, wash one” campaign. When you buy one Pela case, they’ll send you a second for free! Which means we always have one super clean spare ready to go and we can switch things up every once in a while for a fun change up.
View this post on InstagramA post shared by Pela Case (@pelacase) on
Also, the cases are 100% compostable — how awesome is that? And we love their Pela Cycle Program, which accepts old Pela cases and then recycles them to make new products.
19. Mantra Band Jewelry
Wear good vibes on your wrists with beautiful bracelets from Mantra Band. While everything Mantra Band creates is simply stunning, we love checking out their Shop For A Cause collections that feature bracelets that give back to meaningful organizations like Little Bellas, Breast Cancer Research Foundation, and National Alliance on Mental Illness.

21. Aloe Hand Soap
Now that we’re obsessively washing our hands — finding a hand soap we love has added sooo much joy to our lives! Our favorite toxin-free soap is Truly Free Aloe Hand Soap. It’s made with natural ingredients like concentrated Aloe vera, salt, and a coconut oil derived cleaner. And you can feel good knowing it’s not made with any SLS, fragrance, dyes, thickeners, or Triclosan — a sketchy chemical that has been linked to hormone disruption.

The Aloe vera also makes it super gentle and nourishing, so you wont get that cracking, dried-out sensation.
22. Habitat Botanical Natural Hand Sanitizer
Hand sanitizer is having a moment right now… no doubt about it. Our favorite natural hand sanitizer is from Habitat Botanicals, a vegan-friendly, zero-waste minded company dedicated to making skin care toxin-free. Habitat Botanicals uses four super simple ingredients: alcohol, aloe vera extract liquid, lemon essential oil, and sweet orange essential oil. Plus, they package the hand sanitizer in glass bottles, and all the materials, including ingredients and packaging, are manufactured and bottled in North America.
We love it so much, so if you want to try it too — take advantage of our special Wholesome Fam deal! When you order a 6 or 12 pack, you’ll get a FREE detergent-based sanitizing soap bar.
23. Planet Protein Chocolate Magic Powder
If you ask us, smoothies are a food group. And now that we’ve discovered Planet Protein’s Chocolate Magic Powder, we’ve been blending ALL. DAY. LONG. The powder is packed with 14 grams of protein per scoop (btw, the scooper is an adorable wooden spoon) and it’s organic, gluten-free, and vegan. Plus it’s made with only 8 clean ingredients like cacao, chia protein, and coconut cream. YUM.

And all of the packaging is either biodegradable, recyclable, or compostable!
27. The Little Book of Hygge
Now’s the perfect time to get more hygge in your life with The Little Book of Hygge: The Danish Way to Live Well by Meik Wiking.
View this post on InstagramA post shared by Maria (@londonroutine) on
Not sure what hygge is? It’s basically everything cozy and nice like comfy chairs, warm blankets, hot tea (aka our favorite things)! But after reading this book you’ll realize that more than home decor and clothing, hygge is of a way of being.
28. Caraway Home Cookware
With more time at home, we find ourselves more motivated than ever to invest in our cookware. Our favorite cookware for one-pot meals (and really anything that involves a pot or pan) is from Caraway Home.
The Caraway Cookware Set includes four large pots and pans that are all completely free of toxic chemicals such as lead and PTFE, also known as Teflon. Instead, Caraway uses ceramic, which is naturally non-stick. So, you’ll get all the non-stick benefits– with none of the sketchy weird stuff! Plus, the pots make us feel like the fanciest cooks ever — the design is so sleek and pretty!
